The following 3 Chinese Quince were field grown by Suthin Sukosolvisit and are nice, fat pre-bonsai to develop. Notice the beautiful bark. Your buying a great trunk and a project requiring some years and patience. Developed correctly, these trees can be terrific.

This Spring, 09, we repotted these trees into Mica pots. The roots were great and healthy. We also made the tapering cuts where the trunks were removed to reduce the height. The trees were slightly pruned and there is still plenty of development to occur. These are fabulous projects and frankly I'm surprised to still have these beautiful trees in stock.

This Chinese Quince has developed well since the last photography. We made the tapering cut on one trunk and left the other for carving. We choose a few branches with a light pruning and see this tree developing nicely.

Close-up of really nice bark an a swelling trunk.

Here's an updated photo taken in June, 2009. We've made the tapering cuts where the trunks were cut and pruned slightly. There is a very nice tree here.

We've fed this tree well and the trunk continues to swell and the roots to develop.

Sold Here's an updated photo taken in June, 2009. Again we've made the tapering cuts and pruned a little bit.

The beautiful exfoliating bark grows and the trunk continues to swell.

This Kingsville Boxwood forest is very nice and very old. Originally created by Bernie Gastrich and one of his students decades ago, this old forest resides in a very nice Japanese container. The container appears deep for the composition but actually it's just good horticulture. Boxes need extra soil vs. other trees. In smaller containers they tend to dry out and perish. Keep the roots moist but not soaking and this forest is not just beautiful but very disease and pest resistant. The bronzing of the foliage is typical for dormancy. This photo was taken in mid October and the forest will sleep this year.

A nice attribute to Boxes is that they can go dormant or be kept awake indoors for the Winter. Lily and I alternate dormancy every other year to get more working time with the trees. I still believe allowing dormancy adds long term vigor to the trees. $800 plus packing and shipping.

New This smaller Bald Cypress was collected in Mississippi this past February. It has a great flaring buttress, beautiful taper, and the tapering cut was made this Summer. This tree despite limited branching has proper branches to develop it as a flat top style. A great candidate for future specimen bonsai.
$150 plus packing and shipping.

New Another Mississippi collection, this tall, thin Bald Cypress will do well to see a couple years in the ground. There is implied and actual taper that needs to be grown into this tree as well as an interesting curving buttress.
$75 plus packing and shipping.
