New A beautiful Brazilian Raintree that needs a loving home. When this tree arrived it was weak. We repotted it and pruned hard and it's rebound has been tremendous. A little food didn't hurt either.
An older and well developed Raintree for $110 plus packing and shipping.

This is a tree owned by one of my students. He's moved to Texas and decided to turn it to cash to support his new passion, Tarantulas. OHHHK, to each to his own. Regardless, a nice Ficus nerifolia grove. Willow leaf ficus is easy to grow and can be an indoor plant given enough light. Best kept outdoors when above 50 degrees, but can survive indoors year round if misted and fertilized. The pot is 16" side to side for size. It is ready for repotting this summer when it's hot and humid.
A very nice group for $300 plus packing and shipping.

This is also a tree owned by Tarantula man. A nice Brazilian Raintree. It currently resides in a Mica training pot. Very healthy! Easy to train and reacts like any sensitive plat closing up the leaves at dusk.
$55 plus packing and shipping.

This common houseplant Schefflera can become a striking, exposed root Bonsai. It needs a nice ceramic pot and a sunny, southern window. This year it was root reduced by 50%. With proper pruning and good light it will leaf reduce as well. $45.00 plus packing and shipping.

Close-up of the cool roots. More are waiting below the soil surface and if you bare root next season many roots are still flexible enough to be wired or placed more strategically.

Here's a tree, Ficus philapensis that I've been reducing for several years. When I first acquired it it was about 16" tall with one of those braided trunks so often seen for houseplant material. We air-layered 6" off the trunk and eliminated the contrived braided section and the tree now stands only 10". This Ficus is easy to grow and like Green Island Ficus is very pest and disease free. $150.00 plus packing and shipping.

This imported Japanese 5 Needle Pine is another Bernie Gastrich creation. It was transplanted from ceramic to mica to increase vigor and it has responded nicely. A very old, delicate and beautiful piece.
$800 plus packing and shipping.

The photo taken in early June 2009 shows how vigorous the new growth is. It's clear that the transfer to a larger Mica pot was the right move. This Pine is ready for pruning, wiring, and styling.

This old shimpku came from Suthin. It's been bare rooted and repotted. Healthy and great pre-bonsai. Many more like this.

This Kingsville Boxwood forest is very nice and very old. Originally created by Bernie Gastrich and one of his students decades ago, this old forest resides in a very nice Japanese container. The container appears deep for the composition but actually it's just good horticulture. Boxes need extra soil vs. other trees. In smaller containers they tend to dry out and perish. Keep the roots moist but not soaking and this forest is not just beautiful but very disease and pest resistant. The bronzing of the foliage is typical for dormancy. This photo was taken in mid October and the forest will sleep this year.

A nice attribute to Boxes is that they can go dormant or be kept awake indoors for the Winter. Lily and I alternate dormancy every other year to get more working time with the trees. I still believe allowing dormancy adds long term vigor to the trees. $800 plus packing and shipping.

New This Willow Leaf Ficus clump was purchased from me a few years ago and left on an office desk without proper light or care. I took it back in and revitalized it. This shot is just after a recent repotting into a fine Japanese container. It has been pruned very tight and should flush out in just a few weeks. A very nice, established clump ready to explode with new growth.
$300 plus packing and shipping.
